MY TRIP TO ITALY

Hi, I’m Ona and now I’m going to explain you my trip to Italy. We were really excited about this trip, because we’ve been waiting for it since Eso 1.

And without more delays, here’s my trip to Italy !

DAY 1 : Monday 5 of March

After a night of noon-sleep, we meet at the school at 3.00 am . Then we took a bus that left us in Barcelona Airport, because our flight was at 6.25 am.

We arrived at Bergamo at 8.00 am, and then we went to visit Brescia. We had lunch in Sirmione Sur Garda, and then we visited this small but beautiful city.

In the afternoon, we took a bus to Verona, and the first thing we did was going to the hotel (Albergo Arena) and there left our luggage. We spent the afternoon visiting Verona. We saw things like Juliet house the Arena.

We couldn’t visit the Arena’s inside because it was closed for the snow of the previous days.

DAY 2 : Tuesday 6 of March

We had breakfast in the hotel and then we took a train to Venezia at 8.21 am.

We spent all the day there visiting the city. At the morning we visited the Rialto Bridge, San Marco square, and the basilica. After that we went to a glass factory , and we could see how is worked the Murano Glass.

During the free time we went to dinner in a really cool restaurant where the service was really friendly. Then some friends and I took a Gondola, and we visited this beautiful city in a different way. The gondolier was really friendly, and he told us some really interesting things about Venezia. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life !

We returned to the train station with a “vaporetto”. There we took a train at 17.21 p.m. The way back home was very funny because we meet a group of Italian boys, and we spent a great time with them.

We went for a walk in Verona again, and then we had our last meal there.

DAY 3 : Wednesday 7 of March

After breakfast we took a train to Bologna, and another to Firenze. We arrived there at 11 o’clock in the morning. Then we went to Maxims hotel, and we left our luggage there. We spent all that day visiting Firenze !!

The thing I enjoyed the most was The Duomo Cathedral, the facade was really impressive ! In the afternoon, we went to the Campanile, and we had an amazing views of the city !

Just to end the day in a fantastic way, the teachers bought us a delicious ice-cream!

DAY 4 : Thursday 8 of March

This was one of my favorite days. We spent all the day visiting museums ! After breakfast we went to l’Accademia to see some of the most beautiful sculptures of the world as el David. After that, we went to la Copula dell Brunelleschi, and we enjoyed a fantastic views of the city.

In the afternoon we went to the Art Gallery of the Uffizi. There I had a fantastic time because I could see some amazing art masterpieces !

After this ,we visited the Vecchio bridge, la loggia of the Lanzi, the basilica of Saint Lorenzo, the famous market, and the Porchetta, it’s a bronze sculpture of a pig with a curious history. The legend says that if you touch her mouth, you’ll return to Firenze in the future. So we touched it !

DAY 5 : Friday 9 of March

To say goodbye to this amazing city, we went to the viewpoint of the Piazza Miquelangelo and we had an amazing views. Then we took a bus to Lucca, where we spent the morning, and after visiting it, we went to Pisa. We had lunch there, and in the afternoon we visited the Cathedral and the baptistery. Some of my classmates went to the famous tower, but the others spent a great time in front of it. And unfortunately, the travel was arriving to the end, so we took a bus to Galileo Galilei Airport, and we waited until 22.30 pm for our plane.

In the plane, I had a fantastic time talking with Joel, so we didn’t sleep.

We arrived at Barcelona Airport at 00.10 pm , and then we have to wait for the luggage. When everyone had their stuff, we took a bus to Banyoles, and we arrived at the school at 2.30 am.
